Junior SOS
Junior SOS is the anchor experience: lessons, competitions, games, friendships, and a week of community built around the music, steps, and spirit of Carolina Shag. Events take place on Ocean Drive at OD Hotel, Ducks, Fat Harold's, OD Pavilion, and the Spanish Galleon. Book your stay at the Ocean Drive Golf & Beach Resort.
Line Dance Challenge
Junior ambassadors teach their teams original choreography, then each crew performs for the room.
Glow Party
A signature Junior SOS night with music, glow gear, and a packed dance floor.
Scholarship Ceremony
A focused moment to celebrate leadership, service, and the next generation of shag dancers.
Mixed Doubles
No regular partner required. Juniors pair up and compete in a fun, low-pressure format.
Shag Showdown
Random pairings, tournament energy, audience favorites, and a lot of cheering.
Shoe Room
Resources and support that help more juniors get on the floor with confidence. Sponsored by The Ellen Taylor Foundation for Junior Shaggers.

Junior Shaggers Summer Workshop

Junior Shaggers Preservation Association contest dates include February 21 at Midway in Winston-Salem, May 2 at Lynn's in Charlotte, June 27 at Midway, September 5 at Fat Harold's in North Myrtle Beach, October 31 at The Ballroom in Hamlet, and November 7 at Lynn's.
